Them's Fightin' Herds has officially finished off it's updates, with the release of two new characters that were announced earlier in the year when they also revealed that development would be stopping on the game as a whole. Nidra can be found over here, and Baihe here. Without the season pass, they are $4.99 each.
Thanks to Ariel for the heads up!
Them's Fightin' Herds just dropped its newest update, bringing on 5.1.0 which adds the new armor break mechanic and a bunch of other things you can read over at the patch notes. They also revealed their upcoming new DLC character Baihe. I'll include her picture and stage shot below.
The big news is their announcement that the game will cease development once all of this finally releases. That includes the rest of storymode, which has unfortunately been cut. Once the rest of the season pass is released, they are officially done.
You can read their announcent over here.
Them's Fightin' Herds has revealed the 3rd character from their season pass, following Stronghoof and Texas revealed earlier in the year.
Check out a trailer for Nidra the dreamy new fighter below!
For those following the Them's Fightin' Herds news lately, Stronghoof was their newly released frosty character. Of course as most people know, Lauren Faust is their character designer, so we got a concept shot from her!
With the launch of the new bull character Texas, Them's Fightin' Herds is free for 24 hours over on the Epic Game store. Pick it up and store it in your account for the future if you don't have time to play it today.
Go get it here.
Thanks to Robert, Sombra, and Saul for the heads up.
Them's Fightin' Herds hit consoles yesterday, and with that comes a launch trailer celebrating the occasion. If you like hooved things and enjoy fighting games but didn't have a PC powerful enough for it before, now you can get it across the spectrum of Playstations, Xboxes, and the Nintendo Switch.
Go watch the trailer below!
The team over at mane6 has annunced a brand new character heading for Them's Fightin' Herds! Introducing Texas, a huge bill and the first male character of their fighting cast. He is part of their planned release of four new characters included in the season pass, with the final two launching in 2023.
Head on down below for a video showing him off!
We have some fringe pony news today coming from the Mane6 team! Them's Fightin' Herds is apparently heading to console this fall. PS4, Ps5, xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Switch will all have their hooved fighters ready to go for you to play with.
You can find the announcement trailer for it down below.
Them's Fightin' Herds has been chuggin along over on Steam for a while now, but the team hasn't said anything about a console release for it to really draw in the controller crowd. A new listing over on esrb.org might be hinting at that idea becoming a reality! PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series are all marked, with an E10+ rating as the target, plus a rating summary going over what the game includes to earn that score:
This is an action game in which players assume the role of a pony-like character battling evil forces. Players explore dungeon locations, search for an artifact, and encounter cartoony enemies (e.g., wolves, snakes, bears) to fight. Battles are presented as stylized one-on-one fights, with animal characters punching, kicking, and using special moves (e.g., lasso toss) to deplete opponents' health bar. Fights are highlighted by impact sounds, light effects, and cries of pain. Among dozens of items, players can obtain fermented grape juice and a bottle of champagne; costume items include cigarettes/pipes with wisps of smoke.
We will get a followup going if they confirm it!
Thanks to Korovo and Joe for sending it.
Apparently the worlds only hooved fighting game is making waves around the fighting game circuit. TFH has made it to the finals in the annual D.I.C.E. awards for 2020, up against Mortal Kombat 11, Granblue Fantasy Versus, and UFC 4. Will it pull it out in the end? Here's hoping. The others do seem a little generic~
