Athena is finally making her grand return with a new episode on Friday! If you have no idea what this is, you can catch up on Guardians of Pondonia over at this tag. She's essentially an awesome new pony created by Shawn Keller that entertained us with multiple episodes and shorts last year. After a long hiatus we are finally getting more!
Get the fully animated teaser down below. It doesn't reveal much other than the release this week, but it's a joy to see Athena back and animated again anyway!

This on comes from the depths of 4chan, so we can't confirm it yet, but apparently Shawn Keller is hard at work on the next installment of the alcohol fueled Guardians of Pondonia, complete with the adorable Athena that took the fandom by storm back when the series begain in May of this year. Our last look at her was also in May, so many were wondering where it all went!
According to the Anon who posted this screencap, our next installment will be 13 minutes long and is miles better than the first one. Hopefully it's all true! I've really missed Athena!

Shawn Keller is an absolute animation powerhouse. It's too bad we didn't attract people like this in the early fandom to get these things belted out at this absurd rate! Especially at 60 FRAMES A SECOND.
We aren't adventuring into the three kingdoms yet, but we are getting a ton of Athena being adorable. I think I'll just cover her instead of G5. It was a good run guys.

If Pony Life was Generation 4.5, lets just call this Genreration: Alcohol Edition or something. If you have no idea what this is, a few days ago we posted an animation called Guardians of Pondonia. It has absolutely nothing to do with regular My Little Pony, but it does star an adorable cartoon horse who we just found out is named "Athena". It's also completely off the wall and alcohol-fueled.
Turns out, a lot of people loved her. Just three days after it was posted, the creator Shawn Keller has already popped up a fully animated followup video, announcing more Athena to come! The next episode will be taking place in her world, which is currently taken over by Lustrious, who appeared in the first video as a caged villain.
Anyway, go find the announcement video below! Athena is just as adorable as the first one. I'm more amazed that he busted this out so quick. I've heard rumors that these oldschool Disney animators are powerhouses when it comes to animation. I guess that's completely true?

This actually doesn't have anything to do with My Little Pony, but I thought the animation was so good I think it's worth discussing anyhow. An oldschool disney animator over on Youtube just released a new completely off-the-wall video called "Guardians of Pondonia", starring the pegasus you see in the image above traveling to earth.
Story-wise, its all over the place. Don't expect a whole lot there other than loads of sillyness. Just bask in the pony's superb animation if that isn't your humor style. It really is super well done, especially if you are into oldschool 80's animation styles with tons of movement that you don't usually see in modern day Flash.
