Scientists all over the world estimate that the Earth is over 4.5 billion years old. That got me thinking, how old is Equestria? Since it's an alternate reality from the human Earth, would it have a different age, or is the age of Equestria somehow tied into the real world?
As stated in the episode, Hearth's Warming Eve, the land where the *country* of Equestria resides was being ravaged by an eternal winter. There were 3 separate tribes, the unicorns, the pegasi, and the earth ponies. TL;DR they all unified and the *country* of Equestria was founded. So, what was there before the tribes?
