One of my friends on Discord apparently got a full on life-sized Pinkie Pie for christmas from his girlfriend of all people, and had me wondering, did any of you get a pony for christmas?
It's such a funny think to think about. EQD's audience is basically 25-40 at this point, and the concept of a pony under the tree is so not something people would usually relate to that demographic. I bet a lot of you would love to wake up to a wrapped up Luna though.

2024 was... interesting! The world is changing at an alarming pace as every tech company on the planet rushes to be the first to bring whatever their definition of Artificial General Intelligence is to the masses. It's a gold rush with potentially society breaking problems if handled poorly, and the usual race is putting most safety checks on the sidelines on this one.
Since EQD is so built around pony art, it's becoming more and more of an issue as these models rapidly improve. Dall-E was a joke 2 years ago. Then it became insanely good but still noticeable. Now we have stuff like Zoinksnoob here with Marble Pie taking things to level where only micro-errors are visible, and many of those are things we'd see in regular drawn art.
So, I'm brainstorming with the masses today. What should EQD do as we venture into the inevitable part of 2025 where AI art becomes indistinguishable from regular art? Is it going to be a case of looking up artist history? Unfortunately that opens a whole can of worms for new ones. We already know tools are basically worthless. I'm pretty stumped! It's a good thing this site is less serious than it used to be or this might be a huge problem.
