We have some fringe pony news for you all today from MLP comic staffer Brenda Hickey! She has apparently been wokring on an independent graphic novel series called "Don't Call Me Sidekick", and so far it's looking really cute. Have a description:
Enter Hazelton Academy, where an unlikely duo must pull together to battle the monsters not just outside their school walls, but within. Don't Call Me Sidekick! is an exciting new fantasy/adventure series from creator Brenda Hickey (My Little Pony, Aggretsuko)! For fans of magical girl anime with a hint of dark academia -- It’s a blended mix of Cardcaptor/Pokémon meets Harry Potter/My Hero Academia.

Mare Fair has officially announced their return for 2025 for anyone interested in a convention over in Florida. Apparently they had a whopping 1026 attendees at their event earlier in the year, and I don't doubt that 2025 will be even bigger if the hype leftover from that one is any indication.
As always, be aware that this is a convention with a very oldschool 4chan fandom style, so it may not be for everyone. If you were around back in the earliest days of the fandom though, expect more chaotic nonsense like that!

But here we are at the third and final issue of The Storm of Zephyr Heights, a double-length issue encompassing what was originally going to be issues four and five. We're through the storm but is there a silver lining?

We posted about the brand new Skye's Secret comic yesterday, and today have the alternate cover and original in high resolution! Hopefully this is a good one. It's interesting to see them focus entirely on Comic ponies.

We almost had a very different Tell Your Tale if some of these other designs were picked! And that Ponyverse concept from a while back apparently really did plan to incorporate G4 characters for the 3rd season of Tell Your Tale, which you can find below.
Would these designs have changed your opinion on anything? I'm not a huge fan of the no-nostril option below, but some of these are really cute.

Source The Cutie Mark Crusaders grew on us big time over the years didn't they? I remember the super early fandom not being too fond of episodes starring them. Not in a super negative way or anything, but were obsessed with the mane 6 so we desperately wanted more of those. Sweetie, Applebloom, and Scotaloo became beloved characters as the episodes progressed though.
