• The Lost OC Plushie That Appeared at a Thrift Store

We have a wild story from Twitter today! @Yaop117 commissioned the OC shown above from plushie maker Shunnkai, but it unfortunately got lost in the USPS system.

After 6 months of back-and-forth with USPS, during which they claimed it was being held by customs, they finally admitted it was lost and processed the insurance claim. For those unfamiliar with commissioning lifesize pony plushies, they can be quite costly, especially original characters, since the plushie maker can't resell them if the order falls through.

NKPlush and Shunnkai kindly remade and shipped a new version, which arrived safely. But the story took an unexpected turn! Someone discovered the original at a thrift store called Volunteers of America for just $13. Another person eventually bought it and sent it back to Yaop117. Now, he has two plushies—although one has a small stain from its ordeal between being lost and ending up in the store.

It’s always amazing to see how interconnected we’ve become. Imagine the odds of someone recognizing your lost OC from a random Twitter post in a store filled with thousands of plushies. Hopefully, other lost ponies will find their way back to their owners too!
