When did you know you were a member of the fandom? When did you decide you were in it for the long haul? This is often times not the same time as when you first wacthed the show or first saw fan content, so when was it for you?
For me, it was when I discovered the EQD Discord server. I've met a lot of cool people there over the years whom are still my friends to this day. I've even seen a few irl at cons, which is pretty awesome.
I was well aware of the fandom and had already seen the show in its entirity for a couple of years before I got into it deeply. The show is great, but I didn't really fall in love with pony as a whole until I started to interact with the fandom directly. Then I started going to conventions, and then helping to run the Discord, and then posting here from time to time, and the rest is history. The people make this fandom so great and seeing them is what got me invested. You know what they say, friendship is magic.
