Back when Starlight joined the cast, I remember there were quite split camps on whether she was a good addition or not. Some arguing her redemption was too quick while others think it made sense for Twilight to take on a student at some point. I have to admit, at the time, I was in the camp that didn't quite care for her at first. It took many years of the fandom getting me to like her to finally say I enjoy her as a character.
