MLP What If. . . Romance and Children Kept Celestia and Luna on the Throne

Celestia and Luna had ruled Equestria since the start of the show until they passed the crown to Twilight in the final episode. There are many fans who think the sister shouldn’t have retired and given it to a princess with some problems. It also showed in Gen 5 of what Opaline did to Equestria. There are still many questions of if or not Celestia and Luna fought along with the Mane 6 against Opaline. Before season 9, fans had made next generation of the Mane 6 and others being married and having kids. Celestia and Luna are among them with them being paired of whom they thought can work out or what the comics teased and having kids that would one day take the throne.
Celestia only had one love and that is Mirror Sombra from IDW comics. They were so in love that when they said their final goodbye it hurt badly. This love tragedy really felt sad for Celestia and to her fans who wanted to see her married and have kids. However in my opinion, Mirror Sombra would like to see Celestia find someone else who would love her the same way he did.
We have our own opinions of which characters in the show the royal sister are shipped with. But what Hasbro/IDW could have done is hold a contest to allow a fan OC in like they did in the past with the exception of losing rights to the character. Surprising that they never tried to have an OC be a supportive character than a background character that would help the Mane 6 and others and perhaps being love interest. We have seen on FIMfiction, deviantart, and derpibooru of some OCs that fans have put a lot of development of making them true love interest.
Now there are some who think the royal sisters are better off single and their children are their subjects especially Twilight and Cadance. But there are some like me who believe they deserve a chance to find their special someone and have kids much like the Mane 6 deserve. This way Twilight and Spike would stay in Ponyville with their friends and future partners. Also the School of Friendship would also serve to teach young royals to be better leaders with Celestia, Luna, Cadance, and Twilight children being there. Unknown how many kids they will have, both Celestia and Luna would be happy to teach them to perform their respected duties when they and husbands retired. Celestia, Luna, Sunset, Starlight, and the Mane 6 children along with Luster Dawn and her friends would have made Opalin’s planes hard.
Celestia is Evil for Banishing Luna

It's impossible to ignore the complex relationship between Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. While Celestia is often revered as the benevolent ruler of Equestria, there's a lingering question that haunts many fans: was Celestia truly justified in banishing Luna to the moon? Some argue that Celestia's actions were unnecessarily harsh, especially considering Luna's cries for attention and validation.
Instead of addressing Luna's feelings of neglect and insecurity, Celestia chose to exile her sister to the moon, leaving a dark shadow over Equestria for a thousand years. Many fans wonder if things could have been different if Celestia had taken the time to listen to Luna's concerns and offer her the support and understanding she desperately needed. After all, everypony craves love and attention, even princesses.
The story of Celestia and Luna serves as a reminder that even those in positions of power can make mistakes, and that communication and empathy are crucial in maintaining healthy relationships. Perhaps if Celestia had shown Luna more attention and compassion, the tragic events that unfolded could have been avoided, and the bond between the two sisters could have remained unbroken.

I can't help but gush over the sheer adorableness of Lyra Bonbon as a couple. Their chemistry is undeniable, evident in the subtle glances and affectionate gestures they share whenever they're on screen together. It's like they have this magical connection that just radiates warmth and love. Seeing them together brings a smile to my face every time, and I can't help but feel a sense of joy knowing that they've found happiness in each other's company.
But beyond their undeniable cuteness, they hold a special significance for many fans, myself included. Their portrayal as a loving, supportive couple within the MLP universe has helped numerous individuals in the LGBTQ+ community to accept and embrace themselves. Seeing characters like them represented in a positive light on a widely beloved show provides a sense of validation and empowerment. Lyra and Bon Bon's relationship serves as a beacon of hope for those struggling with their own identities, showing that love knows no bounds and that everyone deserves to love and be loved for who they truly are.
