Who/Why: This is my OC in this year's Nightmare Night costume. He is dressed up as a bat pony inspired by Flutterbat. I always imagined him living in Ponyville, so he most likely heard about the events of the season 4 episode "Bats!" (maybe he read the Journal of Friendship when it got published or somepony told him) and thought that Flutterbat is a great inspiration for a Nightmare Night costume.

Tai is the local storyteller/artist in Ponyville who loves to share a tale or two and make art to make everypony/everycreature smile and brighten their day. He loves to go on adventures and explore to get more ideas for his art and storytelling to inspire and challenge himself so he can always have something to share with others.
Inspiration struck one day as he was thinking about what he would be for Nightmare Night, he went to the Ponyville Fall Fair and saw a hypnotist doing a performance. He liked the show very much and it was so fun that he just had to put together a costume to go as a hypnotist. He even found a unique mango shaped pocket watch that would be the perfect accessory to his Nightmare Night costume!

Bio:
Serene Dive may be an earth pony, but she has an affinity for water - her talent is her ability to manuever seamlessly through bodies of water, and even manipulate them magically. This explains her occupation as both a swimming instructor in Canterlot, and also as a competitive swimmer.
In spite of this, she has no desire to be defined as a "one-trick pony", meaning she spends her days constantly trying new hobbies and interests, though she drops most of them pretty quickly due to a lack of interest or ability. Outside of the pool, she makes trips to the library often, usually checking out books spanning a wide range of topics to find a potential new long-lasting interest.

Who/Why: Pencil Pouch is a 20 year-old female unicorn who makes a living as a freelance commission artist. She is typically very bubbly, energetic, and sweet but internally, she is prone to racing thoughts and self-doubt. She wanted to dress as “Vanny” because she loves the horror genre and enjoys how mysterious this bunny fursona (Vanny is just a human security guard’s secret costume) is. She also thinks the ears are so cute!

Bristle Star is an artist who wants to explore many opportunities to discover who he really is in
this world. Everyday he wants to work on something that is important to him whether it be
hanging out with friends or creating art. I think the reason my oc picked this costume was really
the character’s involvement in the movie as he was at the right place at the right time, which
Bristle Star to me is that person. Not expected to be the one, but he becomes the one at the
right time.

Note: Heartbeat does not inhabit the MLP universe, as she lives in an entirely different universe that just so happens to be entirely inhabited by ponies.
Fun-loving, and vibrant while still being unapologetically mischievous, Heartbeat is the life of the party, and fully embraces her devilish nature. Heartbeat is a DJ, with a deep love of music and nightlife, hypnotized by it during her teen years. Now she goes all in, sharing her music with crowds of wild ponies, and throwing the craziest parties ever. She adores the thrill of the party, the rush of the adrenaline, and the freedom to truly let your freak flag fly, which she doesn’t shy away from.
Heartbeat is a total go-getter, never stopping or anything and always on the prowl for the next big thrill, always craving that sweet adrenaline. Heartbeat is as confident as they come, she has no interest in listening to the judgements of others, as she believes that it will only get in her way, and keep her from her full potential. The way she sees it, any judgements other ponies have of her are their own problems rather than her own. She’s also very vocal about her worldviews and opinions, if something is annoying her, she’ll say it out loud, and will even avoid the premises altogether if she feels that it’s ‘ruining her vibe.’ Despite this, however, she’s also incredibly empathetic, and sympathizes with those who are in a position where they’re mocked or kept from being their truest or best selves.
With great confidence, however, comes great risk as Heartbeat is incredibly reckless, and doesn’t think before she acts. Because Heartbeat is all about fun and thrill, she’ll jump right into things before even considering the necessary percussions or the consequences of her actions, only living in the present and hardly ever thinking of the future. She’s also extremely emotional, a trait that can often blind her judgement, as she’ll lash out without a second thought, even going into full-on mental breakdowns, which can lead to her destroying everything in her path if it gets bad enough. Because of her past of oppression and self-hate, she's weary of returning to that old state of mind and will do anything to prevent her going back to that dull old life of hers. Thus, her greed, gluttony, selfishness, sarcasm, and impulsiveness are cranked up to the max in a desperate attempt to protect herself from this fate, with very little care of the consequences, only wanting to live life to the fullest.

Leisure is a straight ally, who likes to dress up in cute and fancy outfits to prove a point. He kins Angel Dust (from Hazbin Hotel) and therefore decided to dress as him this year!

Leonely Granda

Costume: Captain Shield (Ecuadorian Comics Hero)
Who is your OC and why did he choose this costume?: Leonely is a green Pegasus originally from Ecuador who chose to dress up as Captain Shield not only because he likes it a lot, but also on October 31st, in addition to celebrating Halloween in several countries, in Ecuador National Flag Shield Day is also celebrated, so it was a good idea to choose this costume for this big day.

Bio:
Silver Spell is a prodigy spellcaster who specializes in metallurgy, more specifically, in creating charms and jewelry with magical properties. She has a passion for small details and can spend entire days on a single piece. She lives deep within the Everfree forest, in a small cabin. Although she likes to help strangers in need, she prefers to live on her own and stay away from any kind of social interactions.
She’s committed to hunting down evil spirits and learning more about the dark arts. She is confident about herself and her craft but is stubborn to the point of putting herself and any other pony who she tries to help in danger.
Silver is also an avid reader and loves themes of gothic and cosmic horror. She picked a vampire costume because it’s a classic monster and likes to keep it simple so as to not attract much attention to herself.

Awsten is a hyperactive troublemaker, he flies around like a hummingbird, talks at a mile a minute, always wants attention from someone, and yet he's also a great listener and perhaps even a bit obedient. Growling, howling, digging, causing a ruckus, they're all what he is anyway, just turned up to 11.
