Have you ever stopped to wonder what the ponies in Equestria do for work? We know that Rarity runs a boutique, Applejack helps run the Apple farm, and Pinkie Pie works at Sugarcube Corner, but what do the other ponies do for a living?
I have to theorize that everypony has some sort of job, it's just not always in plain sight. Twilight Sparkle is technically a student until she becomes the Princess of Friendship, Rainbow Dash helps with the weather before she becomes a wonderbolt, and Fluttershy helps out the woodland creatures. I'm not even sure she has a true job, but y'know she seems to like it which is what truly matters. In Season 8 the Mane 6 start working at the School of Friendship, so I suppose that also counts.
