How do you feel about the G4 and G5 movies? Which one was better, and for what reasons?
It's a hard call for me. I think the G5 movie is perhaps better at telling a story/setting up lore, but the G4 movie was in a tough spot for that to begin with. It started development a lot earlier in the series then when it came out, so it had a hard time matching the lore and expectations of FiM after Season 7. The Storm King was also kind of poorly written x_x.
Overall, I would say I am partial to the G4 movie perhaps because of nostalgia and preference of character design, but in a vacuum I'm not sure I would still have that opinion.
