Twilight Sparkle has ended up in the news again. Sort of. According to The Verge and other publications, a Twitter user named "Twilight Sparkle" uploaded the entirety of The Super Mario Bros. Movie to Twitter. This was made possible by Twitter Blue, which allows paying subscribers to post 60-minute videos.
Twilight's account has now been suspended, but the video amassed at least 9 million views before Twitter eventually took action and deleted it. She had also used Twitter Blue to upload various other copyrighted content, including Avatar: The Way of Water, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Turning Red, Morbius, Iron Man, The Whale, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Strange World, No Time To Die, Zootopia, My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and various episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, before finally getting media attention (and Twitter's attention) with the Mario movie.
