It was on this day, that the legendary General Zoi PONY CREATOR was posted. I wrote more about it below, but it became pretty notorious here for typically flagshipping low quality everything, from analysis to fanfic, if it had a pony creator OC, it was going to be a rough one!

Today, that pony presentation I posted a few days ago started going viral across the internet. Pretty much every one of those nerdy blogs that used to exist back then were slapping it up for their commenters to eat alive.
General
Zoi's Pony Creator was dropped today, and fanfic covers everywhere
trembled. This thing was more pervasive than any other over the years.
The amount of people using these on avatars and slapping them on things
they were working on was on another level. The pre-reader team here at
the time wanted to add a blacklist on fics that used it for covers just
because 99% of them were some level of nightmare fuel to read.
2012
Not much happened, so have pony skeletons. 
2013
It's too bad the game seems to be at a standstill, but these animations were still always really fun!
2014
A classic brony song released today, and Build-A-Bear announced three more plushies on the way.
2015
Derpy was re-branded "Muffins" by Hasbro according to their Facebook, though she got her name back eventually.
2016
Today we found out that Coco Pommel was re-named Miss Pommel internally due to issues with the person she was parodying.
Chibi McDonalds ponies appeared in Russia. Not much else!
