Horse Wife took the fandom by storm for a while. "Who wouldn't want an adorable pony wife?" was both a common sentiment and a controversial topic. I think some people forget that wanting an animal wife is actually a pretty weird idea in general society, and this blog lead to many a debate while being ridiculously cute.
It's history time! Get it below.
2011
Eurobeat Brony was one of the most prevalent musicians of the early fandom, and this Luna song right here was one of the biggest. We knew almost nothing about the pony, but on design and tragic backstory alone she was already one of the most popular.
2012
Zecora is good. Not much happened so have the zebra.
2013
Equestria Girls was still a huge point of drama for the fandom, so basically any old post involving humanizing the horses was an absolute war in the comments.
While that was going on though, we did get a fun discussion going about cutie mark origin stories for non-mane 6 characters. We never really got that concept much in the show in the end.
2014
It was so fun to ponify movie trailers, that even The Hub got in on the action, dropping this completely official parody of the Maleficent trailer that was released around this time.
2015
Hasbro was weirdly alright with everyone streaming pony every week for the fandom to watch. Out of nowhere they sent one of many groups doing it a cease and desist. I have no idea what threshold these guys crossed that the others didn't, but the C&D effectively wiped them out.
On a lighter note, Horse Wife was hitting it's peak at this point, and both We Life Fine and Diamond revealed new molded figures to collect.
2016
A year later, we had the 2nd series for those chibi figures up for pre-order! And that's about it. Slow day is slow. 2017
Royal Problems released today. Horse princesses battle it out once again, over pancakes.
2018
Not much happened, but this was a neat ponified Mercy thing!
