Today we cover everything from Weird Al being bothered on Twitter by FiM's Director, to lesbian horses dominating media. It was a crazy time across the years on the 20th!
Go get your pony history below.
2011
While Derpy and Winged Pinkie were breaking into the 2k range in auction, Applejack went up as another sketch from Lauren Faust for charity today!
And while that was going on, the director for Friendship is Magic was actively poking Weird Al on Twitter to come record for a pony episode. We all know how that turned out!
After a year, EQD still didn't have a logo, so we asked you all to help us design something! Results of that later on of course.
2013
Detective Fluffle is on duty.
This scootaplane is cool too.
2014
Today we had the story behind that wheelchair pony in Trade Ya', which oddly enough turned into a story about his mom complaining about people drawing rule 34 of him, without realizing that it was him requesting it. Chaos.
We also had another knockoff with Shining Armor.
2015
There was a big scandal about a popular artist today that had us ban someone for the first time. Before now EQD had no artist blacklisted at all.
Eventually he apologized and we moved on and removed his ban.
2016
This was around the time we stopped bothering with posting of TV ratings for pony episodes. The channel (hub/discovery family) was always super niche and people would regularly lose it from their cable packages. Couple that with people cutting the cable anyway (I haven't had cable in over 10 years now) and it became kinda pointless.
2017
Remember when this sort of thing was still a big deal? We sure did change as a society quick! It's almost weird to not see a same sex couple in 2023 for TV series.
2018
Early episodes were ruining a lot of the hype we'd usually have for pony releases. Too bad this didn't change a thing!
