2011
Today Lauren confirmed that ponies can intermingle between the races and successfully produce offspring. Later on she'd expand and confirm that this is accomplished with standard mammalian reproduction. Of course, the fandom handled with this absolute maturity. Yep.
We also saw those super early blindbags pop up that people were paying insane amounts for on ebay due to how rare they were, and Youtube added a copyright school for all those creators getting nuked. It wasn't great.
2012
Remember back when Buzzfeed was a thing? They did celebrity pony lookalikes and it made a few ripples in the fandom.
We also had a Pinkie Pie appearance on Aquabats.
Today Meghan McCarthy told everyone that Twilight would not outlive her friends. That one aged like milk didn't it?
