Well, I didn't expect something so well animated to come out of the whole Twilight and Mordecai meme. It's a short little music video but it has some top-tier animation to back it up.

Lets try something new shall we? Generation 4 was propped up big time by it's huge amount of amazing background ponies, not because they did anything significant in the show early on, but because the fandom loved their designs and decided they absolutely HAD to have a backstory! Right now we have full crowds of ponies from the movie who are currently complete mysteries. A few attempts have been made around the fandom to assign them fan names, but compared to the old days it's not nearly as strong.
I'm not saying EQD is the authority on pony naming or anything, as that tends to happen organically, but maybe we can have some fun with it! Replacing our "Something Nice" series (for the time being, I still want to revisit the new G5 mane cast now that we know them), we will be dedicating the 6 PM Blog time slot to naming a random pony from the movie. While the designs this time around aren't quite as varied and explosive as G4, there are still plenty of cute pones to talk about.
Today we begin with this mare right here! She's Marble-pie looking and kinda broody. What should her name be? Pop your ideas down in the comments, and if you are feeling really adventurous, maybe toss her some fan ideas too! Be sure to upvote ones you like. Apparently Netflix allows their artists to go nuts with the concept images, something we got almost none of with G4. With that comes this nonstop flood or things to post!
First off, we have the model above showing off an early rendition of Alphabittle, complete with a bunch more pronounceed hairline and fuzz. The artist over on Instagram apparently did a lot of environment work for the movie too.
And following that, we've got a full color script from Pablo R. Mayer, showing off the way lighting and color was used throughout, including some news that Alphabittle at one point lived in a cave! I'm popping that down below, along with more shots of Alphabittle.

A New update to Pony Town has introduced a full-on marketplace hangout area, with loads of little shops and stalls for ponies to wander around and roleplay with. This also adds a host of new items to interact with, from a mountain of fruits and vvegetables, to utensils and tools. Along with that, lots of other minor optimizations and improvements have been made! I've popped the patch notes down below if you want to details.

The mane 6 played a minor role at the start of My Little Pony: A New Generation, but a lot of work still went into creating their scene. Imalou has posted up a bunch of awesome concept art that went into building this dream version of Sunny's Mane 6, complete with angles for each of the ponies, as well as some amazing general artwork.

My new favorite song by Spin, this one was VERY emotional for me, as I teared up when I listened to it. The progression is filled with so many different sounds and melodies, taking you by surprise at every step, and the presence of vocals to tell a personal meaning (explained in the descrption) is completing the song to the status of an all-time masterpiece. Moments such as 0:55 and 3:21, with those emotional melodies appearing, are just so powerful... And with that incredible rise at 3:35, it just blew me away. Well, you can check my comment on YouTube to see just how much I loved it!! I can only hope that you could be able to feel that emotion when listening to it, too!

Her intention is to start teaching Twilight some of the skills she will needs when she ascends to become an alicorn. What they find on the trip, however, is far from the safe, teachable moment Celestia hoped for.
