Iconic and epic fanfiction has been one of the big drivers of why this fandom has survived as well as it did for so long. While the show was a good 20 minute hit of pony every week, we needed more of that to sustain the hunger for colorful equines that the internet demanded!
There are the big obvious ones that grew entire fanbases of their own, but were there any fanfiction out there that really kept you entertained and into the Equestrian world while we were between seasons? I know for a fact that quite a few people didn't even watch the show, and just stuck to fanon after getting an introduction to the characters and world.
