My Little Pony Generation 5 has some pretty huge shoes to fill as the "replacement" for Generation 4. A cartoon running for a decade just doesn't really happen much anymore, with only a handful ever becoming big enough to get that far. Especially a cartoon that was originally just meant to sell a toy line! You can kinda tell that Hasbro stopped bothering in later seasons and just let it be a show.
