Just a final heads up for those who might have missed our prior posts about the NATG! It's back once again for its 11th run and will be starting tomorrow on the blog at 9pm PST, the same as last year. I'm really excited to see what you all come up with this year and I hope you all have a lot of fun as well. After the past year, some fun would be really appreciated, right?
For those of you who have never participated in our NATG events before it's basically an event where you can try your hooves out on creating art for the first time and improving over the course of 30 odd days.
Artists who are veterans are more than welcome to join as well! Remember, you can never stop improving!
As for what sort of artwork you can submit, you're welcome to submit digital art, ponies made on lined paper, paintings, elaborate origami ponies, chalk board ponies, animations, pixel art or even SFM ponies like we did last year.
We're pretty open on what can be accepted just as long as it matches the theme in some way shape or form.
Finally, all entries submitted for each theme day have to be a new creation of some sort. We won't be strictly policing this, but the way I see it is that if you're submitting old work you're not giving yourself a chance to improve so you're only hurting yourself.
Once NATG arrives I'll have a more detailed post on how to submit, where to view, and what to expect out of the schedule. So until then, you guys have a couple weeks or so to prepare and make time for it, so get hyped, get those pencils or drawing pads ready and I'll see you all then.

So I will not deny that the moment I saw the title card, I wanted to write about this one. It’s Sunset Shimmer and it’s Sunset Shimmer this happy. This was a mighty need. So we have another YouTube based blog styled short with Sunset touring the backstage life of music artists. But since this is still a children’s show (as far as they know), they have to be more wholesome than popping bottles of champagne and drug use. We even get to know the real stars of these music festivals. If I were to give this short a moral, it’s to always appreciate the little things in these music festivals and not just the band. Everybody and everything is just as important as the performers. Either that or check on the swag bags before recording how cool they are. Never know what you’re gonna get. Let’s take a look backstage with Sunset and see how the VIPs live it up.

Hello everyone! The Illustrious Q here once again with a brand new interview!
This time I had the honor to sit down and chat with new MLP Comic Writer Celeste Bronfman. Celesta wrote Friendship is Magic issue 98, which according to Diamond is scheduled to come out this Wednesday, June 2nd.Knowing Diamond this year, we'll see if that actually holds.

Not too long ago we dropped what we thought was a possible name for the G5 movie thanks to a post by Netflix Malaysia's Twitter feed. Now it seems like we have the most likely candidate for a name thanks to Boulder Media's own website, the folks behind the animation of the movie. In a statement they posted to their site the movie is called My Little Pony: A New Generation.Of course, like with the Netflix Malaysia info, I'm still going to call this tentative till we get more promotional material on the movie, but since this is on the website of Boulder Media itself there is a good chance this is it!Check on after the break for a screenshot of the statement and thanks to Aisling for sending it in! -

The 7th edition in the Omnibus series of comic collections has a new release date set according to it's publisher Penguin. Expect to find it dropping on the 18th of January in 2022. This one will cover all of the issues from #79-88. We will pop up the usual pre-order links once that arrives. It's still a long ways out.

Have you ever felt completely disconnected from something you should definitely be connected to in some way? That's what happened in this case. Apparently the old Discord remix that we used to jam to ages ago has been going viral for the past month over on TikTok. According to Cracked, 330,000+ videos have been made with it playing in the background, used in everything from dance videos to making fun of the fact that it's a pony song.
Even The Living Tombstone himself did a video, reaching a whopping 8 million views and 1.7m likes, which you can find below.
