While the other two followups are being worked on for the two-parter, I figured I'd dive on into this one. We had some absolutely incredible times with these ponies over the years, and unlike most cartoons that are suddenly cancelled without much warning, we got full-on closure for ours.
When I first heard we were getting an epilogue episode, I didn't expect at all that it would take place in the future. What a genius idea from the show staffers!
We've all had our favorite and least favorite concepts. Episodes that didn't quite hit the mark for us. There is no doubt in my mind though that without the care and love they poured into this series, we wouldn't be here 9 years later still watching it. I'm so glad we got a real ending, and I'm even more glad they kept the bar so high all this time.
Usually my followups are more jokey and filled with shipping horses for fun. This one is going to be a more serious. I'm feeling all nostalgic as I write it, and it's the perfect place to delve into some of the wonderful characters we have all become so close to.
Plus they kinda did all the shipping for me~

For nine years we've had this awesome cartoon to go to through the good times and bad. It has been such a huge pillar of support for a lot of people out there.
I recently saw a video from Ashley H and I know she's not the only one that was affected so heavily by the show. Lets turn this concept into an event shall we? With how much negative the world has out there these days, it's good to surround yourself with some positive sometimes.

A few years ago we did an open recruitment for editorial writers and got some awesome new people to hop on board and show you all their journalistic skills. As with most online fan blogs though, real life comes first and many have had to shift focus to other things. There is a lot to celebrate about Friendship is Magic though, so we want to absorb some new help.
If you'd like to volunteer and spam people with pony opinions in the process, now is the time to apply! We are primarily looking for people interested in digging into the last 9 seasons and extracting the best moments. Be that via top 10 lists or straight up analysis.
As with all volunteer positions on the site, there won't be any kind of strict workload. Most here write one or two a month. We mostly care about quality anyway, so we'd rather have a few great ones than tons of rushed ones.

Here we are, everypony!! The end of the show, but the beginning of a new era, and just like Twilight said: "All I know is whatever comes next is going to be perfect"!! So let's have faith! The new fan songs are already going in that way, with this post-finale release from Evgeniy Doctor that stars Singalek's cute vocals and Luck Rock's meaningful lyrics! You'll see it's not just about Trixie, but about the future and how we'll always have Trixie and the other ponies close to us in our hearts!! Such initiatives are the direct proof that we'll be fine!! I love you all everypony!! Yes, I'm still so emotional after the finale... like WOW.
