The team over at DHX is currently celebrating at a series wrap-up party for Friendship is Magic, and Big Jim has announced over on Twitter that production on actual episodes is over in just one week. After all these years animating, writing, and exploring the pony universe, they are finally done.
Where Hasbro will go after this is still a mystery. Considering most of their animation is moving in-house and Youtube focused, it wouldn't be surprising at all if they kept is going for a bit longer with some shorts while grinding away at generation 5, but for now, DHX is officially out of pone.
Of course, fandomside we are still truckin' along. Keep making pony stuff and this madness isn't going anywhere!
Thanks to N1907 for the heads up. -
Howdy, folks! TheSlorg here with another installment of our Guide to Pony Tears series, where I count every tear shed through all the seasons to see which characters have cried the most and why. With the final season well under way, it's about time to see where each character stands for the final showdown.
There were certainly plenty of tears shed in season eight, but how does it stack up to other seasons? Can Rarity ever be defeated as the true drama queen? Head on down below the break to see for yourself.

Description: Apple Bloom is left to handle the majority of the work on Sweet Apple Acres since Applejack and Big Macintosh have to leave to help out on another family farm for a couple of weeks. Granny Smith is helping out wherever she can, but the majority of the labor rests in Apple Bloom's hooves. While she's not the inexperienced filly she was years ago, does the young mare have what it takes to run the Apple family farm in Ponyville while her two older siblings are away, or will the monstrous load of work be too much for her?

"_RARITY" Spiritual Successor Music: Mantlegen - Dirty Gem (feat. Lennon Black) [Future Bounce]
by Makenshi
First of all, if you haven't listened to the original _RARITY, go witness an important part of pony music history (it has also been played on Cider Party). Then, you will be able to appreciate the callback in this new Future Bounce banger part of Ponies at Dawn Skyward! Mantlegen and Lennon Black definitely had fun with this one, bringing the bounciness in the instrumental as well as the talent of Rarity's voice actress in the official Korean dub of MLP (yes, these Rarity vocals were never meant to sound questionable, can you believe it?). Also check out the Soundcloud upload featuring the cover art drawn by Lennon Black, which is definitely in the same vein as the original one for _RARITY drawn by Reno Kim!

The staff that worked on Equestria Girls have popped a bunch of early concept art and fan-art up on their twitter feeds to celebrate all the work they accomplished over the last half a decade. Some of the early designs actually look really cool!
Enjoy some examples below the break!
Thanks to Robert for sending it in!
