There won't be another show like MLP:FiM
One of the saddest things about MLP being over, is that there won't be another show like it ever again. I realized that after the experience I had with another show recently: for years, parallelely to MLP I've followed the animated series Miraculous Ladybug, a show that I deeply enjoyed for the first two seasons but my hype crumbled up after the third one. One of the reasons MLP ended up my favorite animated series ever, is that it wasn't afraid of making changes. The status quo was shaked multiple times in MLP and aside of a few trippings, it managed to remain strong and consistent until the very end thanks to that. I thought that with Miraculous could have been the same considering its standard schemes, but I was completely wrong. One of the most recent episodes (Chat Blanc) made me realize that the show will keep the same scheme until the very last episode and this is not playing in favor of it, as the quality is starting to crumbling down now, so I've quitted it for good.
This experience of mine with that show made me understand that there won't be another show like MLP ever again, because producers are just scared to make changes to the shows they make, althought they don't realize that eventually their shows will suffer from those decisions. That's really sad....
Spike and Flurry Heart
By: FlareGun45
Spike's interactions with characters are usually pretty limited for some odd reason, and knowing that Spike is actually part of the Sparkle family, it just doesn't make sense that we don't see many episodes of him and the other Sparkles! One in particular: Flurry Heart!
You'd think that maybe he'd be more excited to getting a little cousin or niece, depending on his position in the family - and his interactions with Flurry in A Flurry of Emotions were very limited. Spike was only there to help Twilight, not be the Uncle figure that we'd think she'd really look up to. After all: HE'S THE HERO OF THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE! She's growing up in a place where everyone looks up to Spike! Would it be pretty likely that she'd actually look up to him as a mentor and an icon?
I mean think about this: Flurry's gonna be the new leader of the Crystal Empire, and it probably won't be easy for her accepting the responsibility. No one ever idolizes to their parents - what inspires kids to reaching their goals is someone is kinda "out of reach", but gives a heavy influence on them. Auntie Twilight could think that she could the icon Flurry needed, but it turns out, it's Spike the Brave and Glorious that gives her the inspiration she needs to become the leader she's destined to be!
Not just that, but has Spike ever had the thought of becoming a mentor-figure to someone? Has he ever thought of having a little buddy to share his influence on? Spike can sometimes have an ego, so I'm sure this is something he'd be thrilled to have! Another potential season 10 comic right here, and further development for Spike's Crystal Empire arc, AS WELL as his family arc! It's a 2 in 1 deal!
Derpy's Relationship With Mane Six
Certain "everypony's" favorite gray-coated, yellow-maned pegasus mare is well-known by everyone in Ponyville.
She probably went to Summer Flight Camp in Cloudsdale along with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. The three of them moved to Ponyville together.
Judging by the Friendship is Magic series, of the Mane Six Rarity and Rainbow Dash are the ones most annoyed with Derpy's clumsy ways.
Derpy probably gets along better with Pinkie Pie who bakes her muffins.
Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, and Fluttershy probably get along well with Derpy, too.
Is Gen 4.5 'Pony Life' Butchering Pony Too Much?
Generation 4.5 is very interesting based on the art style that it will be showing off and it being very different from the one that kick-started this fandom into what we know and love to this day: Generation 4!
However when I first watched the trailer/toy commercial I was extremely surprised on the more 'Chibi' style and that it will be more based around Sugercube Corner than anywhere else in the show which may come as a shock as we may not be able to (when it premiers) to view the rest of Ponyville along with it. It is definitely interesting to see how this will act like the bread you fill up on before actually eating your main course (pre-Generation 5 that is). But how showy the format all is to concede its inspirations from, it seems to have exaggerated more of its modernisation for the next decade than ever seen before by expressing its episodes revolving around Sugarcube Corner are what 'modern kids can relate to.'
As a fandom we can strive to make new creativities before the real Gen 5 takes place!
The real villains of our world
By:indiana
As I have stated before, I would have loved to see Cozy, Chrysalis and Tirek reformed but that did not happen. But why? What's going on here? As a matter of fact I am pretty sure that these 3 villains represent different aspects of evil of our world. Each of them represent a set of villain attributes that are present and make up the evil of our world. Cozy Glow represents the psychopaths and the sociopaths. Chrysalis represents the racists, the nationalists and all groups that can be broadly categorized as the tribalists. Tirek represents the greedy, the power hungry politicians and rich people who exploit the poor. As you may or may not know, all of these kinds of people actually hold some positions of power in our world. Yes, it is a fact that our world is already ruled by evil and it is up to people at the bottom to rise up and fight off these diseases of our society. It has always been the case that the weak and many who always had little power but numbers fought off anyway they could the few and the wicked and the corrupt who held power and used it for their own gain. It is still an ongoing battle by the way and unlike the end of MLP, we still have to get our victory over evil. The show did it's best to show us ways to achieve that.
Also one side note that is very relevant here. I have noticed that almost everyone who has one or more of these negative traits that I talked about, hates or can't stand watching MLP for some reason. I wonder why.
