We still don't have any actual finalized info for generation 5 yet. It could be just about anything at this point. Something cringy like that weird like generationl 3.5 is entirely possible if they don't pick the right team for it.
Generation 4 is kind of a mythological setting with earlier Earth tech. What do you want the next series to be? Should ponies star in their very own space opera? Or is it time to ditch technology entirely and take them into the stone-age where dinosaurs reign supreme? Or maybe they are all AI driven robots to inspire kids to seek a future in robotics and programming?
