Vylet has another track out from himself and Sylver that was featured on his recent Aloe and Lotus album, and this one goes all over the place with some sweet vibes. A combination of bossa nova, folk, jazz and more contemporary electronic elements, it's a whirlwind journey that flies through a bunch of cool segments before some calming piano to finish it off. The official film office for the city of Los Angeles has released it's annual study focusing on 2017. Buried within it's investor focused pages is a section dedicated to movie budgets. We've had estimates and leaks for the My Little Pony movie's overall cost, but nothing particularly definitive. This seems to be as good a source as any though.
In the end, it's estimated budget was set at 6.5 Million. They do note that these aren't always perfect, as full production budgets are rarely disclosed. This focuses on the studio cost, while extras could be tacked on after the fact.
Regardless, it wasn't a huge budget movie that made over 50 million worldwide, DVD/Blu-ray sales not included. And considering it's a kids movie that parents will probably scoop up on a whim for a few hours of rest, those are probably pretty substantial.

With summer wrapping up it's time for those of us in school to start heading back to it. With myself actually student teaching this semester I hope I can put smiles on children's faces like Sweetie here. Got to admit I'm a bit nervous about it all...

Well my friends, that's a wrap! Another ATG has come and gone, resting and waiting for next year to greet you all (and new friends) once again. As always when the ATG ends I'm saddened, not only because it usually means it is the end of the summer for me, but mainly because I have to wait a year to do this all over again. The ATG has always been my favorite event and every year I get to know the artists participating just a little bit better.
While I may not draw myself, I do follow all of your journeys and it has been amazing to watch you all experiment and grow over these past 30 or so days. And as with every ATG I couldn't be more proud to watch you all tackle the prompts with gusto.
Now for some of you I know the hard part begins as there are no more prompts to be had to help guide you with your drawing. No more deadline to help force you into the habit of creating a piece. That's why I do have some help for you all tonight to keep the creative flow going!
If you're in need of prompts, I highly suggestion the Artist Training Grounds Alumni Group which post a new prompt weekly for artists to complete. You can find them here.
For those of you that gain motivation from talking with other artists or just want some feedback on your work I highly recommend joining the Discord channel we had running for the ATG here.

For our final day we brought in a total of 97 ponies giving us a grand total of 4149 ponies added to the world! An impressive showing everyone, I can only hope next year we do just as good.
