It's Japan time everyone!
Though the official Japanese dub had ended a few years ago, the MLP comics are now being translated at a fairly regular pace.
The second volume of the Phase 6 edition of the My Little Pony comics is now out in Japan! What makes this edition unique from the other versions published around the world is that there are two unique covers designed for them! Both are illustrated by IDW Cover veteran, and Japan Native, Kaori "sbis" Matsuo, which makes them a delightful collectors item for the IDW Comic collector.
Which is the point of view I shall be reviewing the edition on. How does the trade dress work in this edition, and is it worth the expense of shipping internationally from Japan?
As for reviewing the translation, I'm going to skip out on that. I am not qualified to rate a japanese translation of an english comic for one simple reason: I can't read japanese.
So is the book worth it to collect? You'll find out in the full review after the break!

With 3 weeks left until SDCC is upon us—AAAAAAHHHHHH—the first My Little Pony SDCC Exclusive for the convention has finally been announced.
I have a feeling it won't be the last, since Hasbro hasn't announced their exclusives for the convention yet.
Anyways, up first for SDCC is this wonderful My Little Pony '83 Pin set from Toynk! The MLP '83 initiative was first announced by Hasbro back at New York Toy Fair, with the only clue as to what this is going to be about being "being more info coming soon." Looks like we might be getting that info at SDCC!
The MLP '83 pin set is made up of 3 pins and will retail at booths 815, 4437, and 5245 for $15.00. Like all SDCC Exclusives it is limited in quantity. In this case the run is limited to 1,500 sets. So if you want to get your hands on them get there early!
Equestria Daily will continue to bring you news about SDCC as it comes in! Till next time!

We've got some possibly good news coming out of the world of TV scheduling! My Little Pony season 8 part two may be arriving on our TV screens in early August! Zap2it has the 14th episode set for the 4th of August.
Zap2it has been largely reliable for the last few years when it comes to pony related things. While the 14th episode of season 8 was technically going to be this one (Spoiler Warning), it looks like it might have been switched with the 15th episode (Also spoiler).
Since there is that minor discrepancy, we are going to keep this post a "probably" until we see official Discovery Family highlights for August make their way out, but considering the schedule last season, this seems to be perfectly accurate.
PREP FOR PONES. For a full list of the rest of the season, you can find that in our upcoming episode section.

The newest issue from IDW has been pushed back til next week, but that just gives me a chance to wrap up my retrospective on Friends Forever.
Rainbow Dash's wings have been taken and it's up to her and Twilight to get them back. Get ready for magic, punching, and some questionable morals.
Check out the full review, with some spoilers, after the break!

[Slice of Life]
Author: Jarvy Jared
Description: The milliner on March Street leads a simple life, tending to her shop and taking care of her goods. Her only company is her hats and the dusty shelves they inhabit. She has not had an exciting moment in a long while, and so expects nothing exciting to happen. For the most part, she's right; until one day she isn't.

Tara Strong is talking about voice acting again on a podcast! That seems to be a pretty common theme throughout the years. I wonder why none of the other VA's hop on these?
Released the other day, the Talkin Toons podcast had a sit-down with everyone's favorite twitter superstar. Head on over here to listen.
Thanks to Jeffrey for the heads up.

Morning Discussion #1256
by Calpain
Uh oh, Pinkie has lost the bounce in her mane and tail. I wonder what is on her mind that has her in the dumps?
Morning everyone! Time to wake up.
