Spike may not have as much music as some of our other characters out there, but he still has some pretty nice tunes to jam to!

If I were Spike I would move to the Crystal Empire. After all, that entire nation is one massive Spike Appreciation Day all year round. He's needed elsewhere though, so maybe just the occasional vacation for now.

Unfortunately, there isn't really a whole lot of Spike art that would work for a best of for the last year, but you can always dive into last years for tons of it! Maybe next year we will have a good amount to do a post with.

TFW you have 45 hours in Persona 5 in 5 days
7 YEARS OF NONSTOP PONY. Is this even healthy? Can humanity survive with so many creatives pumping out cartoon equines? Of course it can. Pony is the pinnacle. Why write a novel about people when you can make it way better with colorful anime cat horse hybrid things? It literally opens up entire worlds of puns and problem solving that makes it so much more interesting!
EQD is officially older than some of the actual MLP target audience just now discovering the show. I've seen people around me get married, have kids, and introduce them to ponies in the time this site has been around. That is a LONG time. Just be sure to keep safe search on. It's a minefield on Google these days.
It's weird to see how we have evolved over time. One of our earliest posts was a guide to McDonalds toys filled with swear words. In some ways, I kinda wish we stayed that way. It would definitely make followups funnier. DWK makes me jelly~

Spike really is there for all of his friends when things get tough and it's great to see that in fandom comics! I'm especially liking the ones drawn by dSana lately, very nicely done.

A Long Way From Equestria is really quite a classic tune from MandoPony and AcousticBrony, and this cover from Rockin'Brony is every bit as heartfelt as the original. Featuring 4EverfreeBrony, Cyril The Wolf, Luck Rock, Sable Symphony, Strumpet and StealingShad3z, the vocal chorus especially has some really powerful feels to it. Check it out below!

Looking back at Spike's history we see one heck of a ride. Starting out as just Twilight's assistant and sort of friend, Spike has grown into a reliable part of the main cast (despite a somewhat lukewarm reception to quite a few of his episodes) and from the sounds of recent events it looks like the show runners have some things in store for him.
So, on that note, what would you like to see happen with Spike now that we're 8 seasons in? Is there an episode idea you've been dying to see? What do you like or dislike about Spike? What would you change about the Spike episodes out there?

You know, when looking for Spike pictures it's kind of hard to find him in any by himself. He always seems to be doing something with his friends in one way or the other. Guess it just shows that we as a fandom like him chumming around with ponies I suppose!
