While we don't have any specifically hard confirmation, there is a good chance that season 9 will be our final adventure with the current iteration of ponies, at least in 22 minute episode form. We've had good times, and bad times with this cast, exploring the majority of the world and really getting to know them over the last 8 years. Putting an ending on that saga is going to be challenging for the team over at DHX to say the least.
