Maren (Or Marenlicious) has been uploading ponies on Deviant Art since all the way back in 2012. This South Korean based artist has evolved tremendously over that time frame, going from super basic art to one of the most noticable styles in the fandom. His cartoon horses have an almost dough-like softness to them, with silky smooth lines and loads of appealing curves.
I'd say that warrants another artist spotlight, don't you?

Q:) How did you stumble upon My Little Pony? What was your "origin" story if you will?
I stumbled upon My Little Pony from my friend. At first, I thought it was a little bit of a children's animation.But it was my complete mistake haha, I'm happy to keep love it!
Q:) What is the process you usually go through when drawing something new? What tools and programs do you use?
At first, I think and think again and then I imagine when the painting was completed. In other words, I think before action! And I usually use saitool! hmm.. Maybe not usually, just only! haha
Q:) Do you draw professionally? Or is this a side thing to another career or job?
It is a just hobby! By the way, it seems like a good hobby because I earn some pocket money while doing activities!
Q: ) Who is your favorite pony and favorite princess? And if it's different, who is your favorite pony to draw?
My favorite Pony is Twilight sparkle! Because she is very smart and genius and kind and has a good skill of magic and what else.. Oh and very nerd lol! Anyway I often draw a Twilight sparkle!
Q:) What kind of challenges do you usually run into when drawing a character or subject for the first time? Has there ever been an image concept that completely stumped you?
First, I think about angle the most, and then I think about the background for a long time.
If you have a good angle and a good background, you should be careful the most because the art looks different.
Q:) Your style is freakin adorable. What was the process you went through to develop it?
I watch my little pony hard(This is very important) and Inspired by others also inspired by episodes! It is important to see many other people's pony arts!
Q:) Socks, sweaters, silly hats, swimwear, full body armor, ponies have worn it all. What is your favorite accessory to draw ponies in?
Glasses! Glasses are magic and glasses are science. Nothing's as exciting as wearing glasses to the finished Pony.
Q:) What do you like most about Friendship is Magic? What keeps you drawing so many awesome ponies?
I like everything, villains and background ponies and even background !
It is too adorable to stop drawing.
Q:) Do you have any tips for newbie artists looking to improve?
Keep drawing ponies! And look at more pony arts!
Q:) Why do you think My little Pony Generation 4 has been so successful? What keeps you here involved in the community?
Clean and cute style in addition Interesting characters, a grand view of the world!
