Hello readers of Equestria Daily! The Illustrious Q here and… Hasbro sent me another box of toys to review.
With Easter coming coming up in two weeks, it makes sense for Hasbro to have a bunch of brand new products for kids around the world to play with!

Okay, now that's out of why, let's dig into the new toys! You can check it out after the break!
…what? You don't have a Klingon Bat'leth Letter Opener to open up all your important packages like a Klingon warrior? How else am I supposed to open up my mail? With scissors?
But then I can't impale them on the box when I'm done opening it… and there is no way I am giving that up!
So now that the box is open, let's go take a look inside?
Looks like there is nothing but barcodes in there. Either that or I opened the box upside down. I don't know which one is more likely…
So, let's go take a look at the first toy!
And first up to bat is the My Little Pony: The Movie Friendship Pack Assortment featuring Pinkie Pie & Princess Skystar. There are three packs in this wave, with the other two featuring Twilight Sparkle & Songbird Serenade and Rarity & Capper Dapperpaws.
This pack includes Pinkie Pie, Gummy, a plastic present, an undersea vanity, a bow which I think can be wrapped around Pinkie's neck, and Princess Skystar as a hypogriff instead of a seapony.
The first time this version of Princess Skystar popped up was at HASCON, so I'm very happy the figure has made its way out into the retail wild. I wonder if this means we'll be getting more hypogriff figures in the future now that Hasbro has created the mold for Skystar.
There isn't anything surprising on the back of the box. Those MLP The Movie stock vectors look amazing in the throne room of Celestia and Luna.
And the top of the box has two cut outs in the covered in clear plastic for those who would like to put the figure under a light for display. I know this feature was introduced with the Guardians of Harmony toyline, and I love how it has made its way over to other Hasbro MLP Packaging.
Up next we have the My Little Pony: The Movie Glitter and Glow Princess Celestia toy. This toy was available in small quantities directly from the Hasbro Toy Shop during HASCON, so it is now available for its wide release.
Pressing Celestia's cutie mark will cause the LED lights embedded in the toy to light up and flash in a few different pulse patterns. One particular item to note is that because these are LEDs and not old school incandescents, the color of the light is not fixed. It flashes between a bunch of different colors at it is going through the pulse pattern.
She is a brushable figure, as such she comes with her own hair brush so kids can style her hair.
The figure is made of a slightly translucent colored plastic which makes it really easy for the LED light to shine through, and still have Celestia being her correct colors.
This plastic also reminds me of a certain electronics fad in the late 90s/early 00s. It was so cool being able to see the inside of electronics.
No surprise on the back of the box. It might have been worth to have the back of the box be a lenticular image to show the different colors the LED turns.
Aside from that, this is a perfect representation of the product info in four different languages.
And there is the top with the display window. It looks like Hasbro is getting more creative with these windows since it is now contouring around the Movie Logo and Celestia's vector. Absolutely lovely!
If you couldn't tell I am a fan of these toys.
Up next we have a sample from the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls Classic Doll assortment, featuring everyone favorite cowpony… cowgirl…
I'm just going to call Applejack a southern belle to keep from confusing myself. Anyways, these new Equestria Girls dolls were first seen at HASCON—it's almost as if this Hasbro run con had a ton of toy announcements—and they are a massive improvement over the original doll line that launched the spin off franchise. Each doll comes with 9 articulation points—yes the shoulders are ball and socket joints—and the clothes they are adorned with.
So no Applejack does not come with her hat.
The back features photographs of the prototypes for these figures. And since what is in the box is the massed produced version, you can easily compare the two to see where Hasbro made alternations and improvements. Like for instance, the prototype had a neutral expression and the mass produced version has AJ with a slightly cocked eyebrow and an amused smirk.
You know, personality!
Finally there were two blind bags from wave 24 of these molded Hasbro ponies… Wave 24?! This has to be the longest running My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic toy line by a long shot! Even the burshables have had multiple toy lines started and stopped.
This one has been going almost non stop since 2010. I am truly impressed. Though as for the ponies themselves, I can't really see what they are.
Yes, I am well aware of the blindbag codes. So yes, I know these two bags contain Cloud Chaser and Fleur de Lis. However I can't see the toys themselves, so I can't make a comment on them.
Once again the back contains all the product information for the MLP Blind Bag figures. This has been fairly standard since the beginning of the product line, so there are no surprises there.
And there you have it! Hasbro's new My Little Pony toy offerings, which are available now and can be ordered from Walmart.com here.
And no, your eyes are not deceiving you. I did leave all these toys in their packaging. Why would I do such a thing? You know, aside from being a toy collector…
For the moment, all I'll say is I have something extra special for an upcoming post coming out later today which will make heavy use of them. So you'll just have to wait until next time to see.
