The first part of a series of seven animatics has been released based on the musical "Dance of the Vampires". It's Russian, but there are subtitles to go along with it.

Branching out a bit from his usual style, Frozen Night's Winter Depression is a much more metal oriented piece than we normally hear from him. With some big, heavy guitar sounds taking up a large part of the mix, there's also some really nice vocal sounds and lead progressions. The break between the heavy guitar sections is beautifully composed also. Check it out below!

Here's one we were originally going to ignore since it seemed kinda minor, but it is exploding in the social media world right now, so I guess it's more of a report on how ridiculous it all is.
The My Little Pony Movie is serious business, especially for two 32 and 33 year old women who wanted the best seat in the house to watch it at. During a showing in Lancaster, the two ended up brawling it on Saturday night. Apparently cops were called, as both were issued citations in the end according to Fox43.
I guess I should have included that in the theater etiqutte post...?

ElementalFX over on Youtube has decided to take the concept of pony toy pictures around the world and evolve into a full on film exploring the entirety of the West coast of the USA and Canada. Wilderness areas from California to the Canadian Rockies have already been explored, with Flutterbat and a bunch of Funko Figures in tow.
The actual end of the project is slated for 2019, but a trailer and gallery can be found below.

According to Box Office Mojo, as of yesterday, the My Little Pony Movie has hopped up to the 15 million mark in the states. This joins a healthy 10 million figure for foreign sales. Considering the budget and marketing didn't seem to be overly extravagant for Hasbro's first big pony break, it's not doing badly at all.
A lot of factors will play into how successful Hasbro considers the movie to be. Luckily, a large chunk of their change comes from sales of toys and eventually the Blu-Ray once it drops. There is a reason why we have seen so many straight-to-dvd offerings coming out of the company. This sort of merchandise is an easy impulse purchase for a mom strolling through Target looking for something to keep her kids busy for a few hours.
The movie remains in theaters for the near future, so we will get an update once the box office numbers have officially concluded. We don't have actual budgeting numbers outside of a few very unreliable leaks, but so far things look to be going well.

Update: BoxOfficeMojo corrected their foreign, saying that pony so far has only brought in $4 million or so in foreign markets. We'll have to wait to see how well the foreign markets have done unfortunately.

Tripon's made some pretty killer drum & bass recently, but one thing this new track has that wasn't present before is some super cool vocals that roll with the super dark instrumental excellently. The percussion is smooth, the lyrics about an assassin pony are innovative and interesting, and the bass sounds that fill up the atmosphere are exceptional. Plus, the animated artwork is pretty neat too. Check it out below!
