"Elements of Harmony" Book Has a Sequel on the Way

With the great success of the first book, Hasbro has apparently decided to green-light a second one if a new Amazon listing is any indication. The description doesn't reveal a whole lot yet, but if you missed the first book it does give you an idea on what to expect:

Epic Orchestral Music: Frozen Night - Crystal Tears (feat. Forever Freest) [Orchestral Metal] / The Snatcher - A Fallen Star [Symphonic rock]

One of the best ways to bring across orchestral elements, in my mind, is by combining them with things like rock and metal, which is just what these two tracks have done. The first is an incredible track from Frozen Night which mixes together an epic orchestral soundscape with strong metal elements and some great vocals from Forever Freest to tell the story of Sombra's takeover from a crystal pony's viewpoint. The second is a track from an artist named The Snatcher featuring some female vocals from singer Marina that mixes orchestral with some rock elements. Telling a story based on a fanfic, it's pretty big in scope. Make sure to check them both out below!

Ah, comedy. The most subjective topic.

I'm not sure which is more difficult: writing comedy or critiquing it.

Equestria Daily is 6 Years Old Today!

Six years ago today, the propaganda branch of the Great and Powerful Trixie club decided that the fandom desperately needed a reboot. The lack of appreciation for our glorious leader was rampant within the newly named "brony" thing, and I was chosen as their sacrificial lamb to spend the next half a decade slaving away and ruining my good name in order to promote and celebrate Equestrias #1 unicorn. Obviously this goal has been more than successful now that she has definitely joined the mane cast with her big season 6 finale.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Seriously though, it has been an absolutely insane six years. It still amazes me that it has even been this long. Truth be told, I didn't even expect a year out of it. I remember telling Cereal Velocity way back during the last week of season one that we were absolutely doomed now that episodes were over. How could a site survive without new official content pouring in? How wrong I was!

New Comic Series "Legends of Magic" Launching in April!

This morning Comics Alliance broke the news of a brand new comic series! The new series is launching with a new story by Jeremy Whitley and Brenda Hickey. The premise of the series is to explore "the secret history of Equestria."

However, also with this news comes the announcement that Friends Forever is ending with Issue 38. So like the Micro Series, we're ending on a tale focused on Princess Luna and how she relates to her sister. I for one accept this monumental coincidence.

Electronic Music: Vylet & Sylver - i want you to notice me [Chill Hop] / PegasYs - Colgate's Family Dentistry VIP [Drum & Bass]

Some pretty groovy music in this post! The first track here is a new one from Vylet and his friend Sylver, released as a part of his new EP, Lotus. This track is a pretty funky chill hop piece with some really nice use of percussion and some really eclectic synth sounds. The second track is a new one from PegasYs about his favourite pony, Colgate. Despite having a whole bunch of neurofunk influences through the track, which often lend themselves to dark and gritty music, this piece is really uplifting and happy-sounding, with some great melodies. Check them both out below!

AWESOME Animation - "Spare"

Here's one I was completely unprepared for.NatasiaSolitude over on Youtube has tossed up an animation on a level we usually only ever see teased for a year before actually seeing. A fun little song dedicated to Moonbutt finding a better plan for her needs than Nightmare Mooning to oblivion.

At 12,000 subs, I'm pretty scared it won't be seen  nearly as much as it deserves to. Please spread this one like crazy. Don't assume just because we post it that everyone will know about it. Take it and pop it up on ALL your places to share things. This is way too cool not to be viewed like crazy!

Writers Kevin Burke and Chris Doc Wyatt Not Returning for Season 7

Some more news on the writing front for season 7 as Chris Doc Wyatt responds to questions on Twitter that he and Kevin Burke who were involved with The Times They Are a Changeling, Viva Las Pegasus, and PPOV are not returning for season 7.
