Looks like in the new 2019 annual for MLP we may have some possible hints at what to expect in season 8. As pointed out by Masem and PaganMuffin who sent in the screenshots, there is apparently some pics of possible season 8 episode and some possible foreshadowing for what Twilight might be doing in season 8!
