Nightmare Nights has scooped up one of the big ones! Lauren Faust will be heading to their event later this year. As always, you can find the full announcement and ticket purchasing links below!
We promised that our fifth Nightmare Nights was going to be the biggest and most exciting yet, and so we are beyond proud to announce that Lauren Faust, the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, will be attending Nightmare Nights 2017!
Lauren Faust was the showrunner for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, developing it and taking it to production, but has a long history in children's animation before that. As an animator, she worked on Cats Don't Dance, The Magic Sword: Quest for Camelot, The Iron Giant, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. She gave The Powerpuff Girls life as animation director, contributing to dozens of its episodes and making it a landmark animated series. After Friendship is Magic, Lauren helped to create Super Best Friends Forever, write and produce Wander Over Yonder, and design the characters behind the video game Them's Fightin' Herds. She's currently working on DC Super Hero Girls, and is an inspiration to girls and young animators everywhere.
Lauren joins our array of wonderful guests for Nightmare Nights this year, and all that's missing is you! Head over to our registration site and get your badge for Nightmare Nights 2017 today! And don't forget to consider our Sponsor badges, which get you great perks like reserved panel seating in the front. And our Premium Sponsor badges even get the opportunity to mingle with all of our Guests of Honor at a special cocktail party event on Friday night, but these badges are running low, so don't wait to pick one up!
Don't forget, we need your help to make the convention the best it can be! Panel applications are open from now until September 9, and we want to show off all the incredible stuff our fandom can do, so get those panel ideas submitted! And if you'd like to volunteer to help out at the convention, our volunteer application is open as well. We have a variety of different positions available, from security to operations to registration to AV. For a few hours of work each day, it's a great way to contribute back to the pony community, while also getting a free badge to attend!
Believe it or not, we still have more awesome announcements to come, so be sure to stay tuned to our Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr feeds (and turn on mobile notifications for your phone) for more updates, and we'll see you in Dallas in October!
