• Hasbro Pushing the "Pony is for All Genders" Idea With New Youtube Series


    Something interesting has been popped up on the Hasbro Youtube channel. A new "Ponychat" series has started up revolving around kids basically reacting to episodes. It definitely looks scripted, but the inclusion of boys makes it just another step toward their attempts at shifting pony over to being appealing to both genders.

    For fans of the popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV series, Hasbro is introducing PonyChat, the official, kid-hosted My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic aftershow. As one of the newest kid-focused after shows on the market, PonyChat will give My Little Pony fans a behind the scenes opportunity with storywriters, fans and parents to discuss important themes, friendship lessons and character developments throughout the Friendship Is Magic series. PonyChat will consist of a 6 episode mini-series, each hosted by the ultimate fans, 6-10 year old boys and girls, which will be hosted on My Little Pony’s official Facebook Page and YouTube Channel. The first episode gives a look back at My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic season 7: Not Asking for Trouble. In this episode, the two hosts reenact scenes, have an ice cream social and use pony magic to meet up with some special friends! Following the first episode, fans can look forward to new episodes of PonyChat coming soon on the My Little Pony site, YouTube and Facebook pages.
