Discontent spreads amidst the great walled cities of the Mare Veritas as the powers that be fight to keep what they have stolen. Thrust into the midst of this conflict is a group of ponies that would seem to have as little in common as the sun and the moon. But they will have to put their differences aside, for an enemy more ancient than the land itself is waking, bringing with it memories of the failure that doomed the old world to annihilation. It knows them, their fears, their hopes, and their failures. And it knows what they have only just begun to suspect: that all of this has happened before.
But there is still hope, for even in a world of shadow and fear, true friendships never fade.
