Newbie Artist Training Grounds VI: Day 23
by Calpain
Considering how close some of you get to the deadline I'm sure you guys had some familiarity with the prompt last night. Still, getting in and meeting the deadline is an impressive feat all its own and I'm proud of you that manage it all the same, even those who missed it as you at least tried your best!
Well, here we are day 23 guys, we've just a week to go until it is all over. Feels like we started only yesterday doesn't it? You've all grown so much and worked so hard and for that I thank you. It makes me feel proud for all of your hard work and the learning you've accomplished in the meantime. I really hope you'll come away from this event excited about art and continue down this path!
Today we received a nice bunch of 125 ponies, bringing us up to 4722 ponies altogether! Keep it up my friends!
As for today's prompt we've got a simpler one tonight as I want you to draw a pony fixing something/draw a pony on the mend. As usual find our submitter here.

A Symphony of Two is, as the name suggests, a duo of two different producers. Together, they've made some really cool stuff recently, generally focusing on orchestral works. One thing I find really interesting about their videos is how they've recently been including time-lapses of their working process, which definitely pretty cool to see. This track is a well produced orchestral piece full of powerful strings and epic percussion, and definitely worth a listen!

Leaked Episode With Subtitles Appears!
by Calpain
The episode that was leaked earlier today has been taken apart and translated by a pony fan who has an understanding of Polish. It's only available in 360p at best at the moment, but it is better than nothing! If we get a higher quality version we will update this post as necessary.
Check on after the break for the subtitled episode and thanks to CourtroomShuttle for the heads up!
Update: Episode nuked by Hasbro, updated link after break.

Ever since his breakout hit, 'Power Ponies GO!', Crusader has been released some pretty great rock and acoustic music. This one is centred around Rarity's detective endeavours, with some slight James Bond influences. The guitar riffs after the chorus around a minute half in are especially satisfying to listen to.

What were you doing in 2009? I was pretty bored. Pony was a year away though!

Polish TV Already Aired Upcoming "Fault in Our Cutie Marks" Episode (Update: Now on Youtube)
by Sethisto
(Spoiler version of the post)
While the next episode isn't slated until September 10th, something seems to have shifted in scheduling. "Fault in Our Cutie Marks" already aired over in Poland. At the moment, screenshots are starting to make the rounds.
We will refrain from posting anything from the episode without the season 6 spoiler tag warnings on it for now (Including art and comics), so be sure to keep that on if you don't want to watch it in polish when it inevitably pops up somewhere. This will most likely spawn some fan art. If we get enough we will just do separate posts, but spoilers will be labeled and hidden as such in things like Drawfriend for the next three days.
Obviously, be wary while browsing the internet!
Below the break are a few screenshots of a new character.
(Update: In true brony fandom fashion, it's already on Youtube below)

A warning for any of you using that season 6 spoiler tag here on EQD since you can't see the other post! This week's episode has been leaked. Be wary while traveling the internet, as it will probably be everywhere.
Here on EQD, we will be marking any post involving the episode with the usual season 6 spoiler tag, and comics/art/music will be heavily warned and spoilers hidden from view without an extra click to go look at it.
Just a general heads up! This episode airs in 3 days, so expect this to stop when that happens.Obviously, be wary of comments.

Music: Midnight Musician - Tonight (feat. KLY, SunnyB & Chuveiro Brony) [Progressive House]
by ExplodingPonyToastMidnight Musician has teamed up with a whole bunch of his friends doing vocals to bring us a prog house track with a really catchy chorus progression. The layering of the vocals in the build ups to the main parts is really cool, and fits in wonderfully with the electro/prog feel of the track. Definitely one of his best tracks so far I think! -
Nostalgia Critic has returned to Ponyland, with a segment in his recent "Is Weird the New Brilliant" video, dedicated to celebrating modern day animation and all it's quirks. We've seen a lot of incredible stuff these last few years as more and more companies try to catch the same kind of success pony nailed. It's not often you see a cartoon last this long.
Anyway, go check it out over here. Pony begins at around the 3 minute mark.
Thanks to Joshua the Bronyficent, Niraos, Ryan, and everyone else for sending it!

Morning Discussion #610
by Calpain
You know, since ponies are covered in fur of a sort why would they even need sun tan lotion? You'd think it wouldn't serve much person right?
Morning guys! Ready for our morning chat?

I'm comandeering a music post for this giant pile of awesomeness right now. Prince Whatever has released a new album with one of the songs up on Youtube to help promote it. Frailty celebrates his usual epic metal / punk style with Milkymomo providing the backing vocals.
You can get it down below, and the full album over here!
