The battle between what is and is not canon has been strong in pony these last few years. We've had an entire episode dedicated to technically non-canon storylines in Slice of Life, and a comic series still going strong building all sorts of bridges in equineland.
But what exactly is canon? While this video still leaves the entire discussion up to you technically in the end, it's still an interesting look at the question. Maybe we need to do one of those EQD debates on the subject.
