Way back in the early days of the fandom, a lone artist going by the name of Moe would mysteriously upload images to our old image dump called Ponibooru. He never opened a Deviant Art page or Tumblr, and simply let the art swarm throughout the fandom.
Even without that exposure, Moe art was always incredibly impressive. It's something you'd see in one of those high end painting galleries or something, but with cartoon horses hanging out in epic backgrounds.
Head on down below the break to check it all out!

I'll be honest, I still have no idea what to call this post. "Rising Stars" sounded good until I realized that some of these guys hit spotlight too. I guess that doesn't count as rising does it? A lot of the other ideas were basically the same level as Music of the Day, and still don't clearly show it being lower than Spotlight.
Speaking of Spotlight, you all should draw her doing musicy things so I can header posts with that. Poor Spotlight.
Get your Music of the day below! At least it has all genres now.
Reminder: If you don't include a genre it will be rejected! Soon it will require this format in your email (example: - "Vocal - Electronic")

The awesome people over at Automattic have migrated our Intense Debate comments manually over since you all were way too commenty for the ID exporter. This means we are ready to make the jump to Disqus now that Intense Debate is no longer being supported.
We love intense debate (even if it has been kinda buggy over the years), but the system seems to have been largely dropped, with no plans to update it to new web requirements being rolled out by Google and friends soon. That wipe of 3 days of comments is an example. Already it is breaking some things on EQD. We've looked at other commenting options, and Disqus seems to be the most used, and best.
Below the break, we go over what you should do to prepare for the switch!

Dem details! Harwicks definitely rocks the art game. I think I'm starting to like Rarijack thanks to all these artists jumping on board and the Rarijack Daily tumblr.
Below the break, we PONY UP. Get a bunch of equines doing equiney things.

[Adventure][Sci-fi]
Author: billymorph
Description: Anything can fly with enough force behind it, even Scootaloo. An adult and still flightless, Scootaloo poured everything into a jet powered suit to get her into the air. But, with her debts mounting and the Hearth's Warming Derby organisers frantically updating the rules to stop her ever racing again, she has to fly faster than ever before if she wants to keep her wings.

If only the whole "20% cooler" line wasn't considered uncool these days...
ANYWAY, the helmets posted yesterday apparently weren't done at all. Have the final, ridiculously awesome versions instead from Timwinn on Instagram. Fitting for that history post last night.

One of the most significant fanworks we have ever seen over the past five years was the fanfic up above. Fallout Equestria pretty much spawned it's own humongous self-sustaining fandom, with THOUSANDS of pieces of fan art, music, hundreds of spin-off fanfics, fully fledged animation projects, a massive SFM community, and more. This is the best example out there of what a fandom that loves a topic can do.
While not everyone has read it the entire 620,282 word long story, I think everyone is at least somewhat aware of it in some way.
Below the break, get a few examples of what we have created in it's honor!
