Another day means even more pony images! That's right, you guys have gone another marvelous job as we enter the third day, bringing us 341 ponies to share in our gallery tonight. After some confusion with the submitter you guys are totally rocking it and I hope you haven't been discouraged yet! Things are about to get a little harder but I know you all can do it in the end!
Moving on to tonight's prompt we start to test your abilities with more advanced instructions. Tonight we want you guys to draw a pony training / draw a pony preparing. Now that your ponies can move around a bit it's time for them to get ready to face the crazy challenges ahead. Think they are up to the task?

I had to go a bit literal here and do some 4th wall breaking on this one lol. Pinkie Pie Jumping into "Action" to fill in for the missing T. This is Day 2's art for ATG, whew, I feel much better putting a little bit of effort into this one. I have a lot of stuff planned for today so I did this one a little quick to knock it out for the day. Hope you all like it!

Here's Woodchopper in action, bucking some trees! She has a special chopper-boots, a single axe blade stretched across her two rear hooves. A spring-load mechanism snaps them out behind her as she bucks, then releases as she returns her hooves to the ground, so the blade can rotate 90 degrees and let her stand or walk.
I looked at a few references of AJ bucking apples. This is my first attempt, I think, to capture a pony looking behind.

A bit different today. I thought I'd throw together something with our favourite villain. Didn't turn out too well because I wasn't feeling too great tonight. I thought I'd use the cutiemark for a "cloudy moon effect" because of her ethereal mane. And then it kind of grew and grew and... there we have it, a cloudy night sky, illuminated by her glorious Moon (no pun intended) as she carves her path trough the night sky.

What kind of pony is more in action than a pony charging into battle, firing his Thompson submachinegun?

I had the general idea of what to do during lunch break and I managed to jot down the general position and sizes of the head, body and leg positions in the 15 minutes I could sit down with a pencil, sketchbook and The Art of Equestria. Most of the afternoon was spent wrestling with a sick calf for the vet. After work I could barely keep my eyes open. I managed to get up and dig up references as to what a leg, hoof, head and wind-swept mane/tail was supposed to look like. It's past deadline. This is my life.

For this one, I decided to draw Sunset Shimmer being so elated that she's jumping in the air. It was either this or Sunset levitating something.
This turned out to be quite a challenge for me, as I had to merge three reference images (two adult, one child) in order to produce this piece. Overall, it took me 2.5 hours to complete this.
