I don't know what's more significant. The fact that this is a brilliant homage cover for The Wizard of Oz or the fact that I'm pretty sure this is the first cover to feature pony Sunset Shimmer.
Either way, we're still not paying attention to the pony behind the curtain.
Comic Vine exclusively revealed this variant cover-by IDW MLP Comic Artist Agnes Garbowska-for Fried Pie Comics. The comic should be available for order from Books a Million, 2nd & Charles, and Fried Pie Comics.com around the 20th of July!
One item of note, there might be a change to this cover prior to it making it to print.
