    Fallout: Equestria is a big, expansive and inclusive universe that has spawned a whole plethora of side-stories, the newest and freshly updated editions of which are listed below.
    This post only features New or Updated stories from Friday, December 11th, 2015 through Sunday, January 17th, 2016 for a total of 75 stories (33 of which are new) and 152 new chapters - but fear not, should you be searching for old favourites, you can find them at:

    • All the stories in this post completely skip the pre-readers. Quality levels vary, but that isn't really the point. Ponies really love Fallout: Equestria, and taking a part of the world for themselves to build a story around is just great fun.

    Description: Family? Friends? Country? Fortunately, many of us have never had to choose between them.

    Dust Cloud, AKA Private Updraft, is an average soldier with a middling job in the Enclave. He is selected for special service observing life in the Wasteland for possible colonization or cooperation by the Enclave. He clandestinely moves down to the Wasteland to complete his mission.

    Soon, surprising events force him to question where his loyalties lie… and the loyalties of all those he knows… and is forced to choose between them. The lives of ponies lie in the balance. What will he choose? And will it be the right choice?

    Description: In the sealed region of Vanhoover, it's not an okay place to live. Two hundred and two years after the bombs fell, the residents are getting anxious. The Coalition and the Adeptus Unitas are gearing up for all out war, Tall Tale's ghouls are spreading further, and the radiated forest is becoming more and more dangerous. So far, the only option to escape is by sea, but the journey is long and there's no guarantee to survive. Rumors speak of a passage through the mountains though, a tunnel where you could escape back into the Equestrian Heartland. It's got to be better then the hell that's Vanhoover, right?

    However, in the eastern mountains, a Stable opens, and releases it's last remaining occupant. Unfortunately, the world he left is gone, and seems to be replaced by a nightmare.

    Comet Scotia is a visitor to the Southern Wasteland. But she makes a fatal mistake (well, fatal for someone else) and winds up playing the role of a hero destined to bring sunshine and rainbows to Equestria. A profitable scheme at first, the lie drags Comet into a world of intrigue, deception, and illusions. That and a lot more lying.

    Two centuries later, a changeling wakes to find herself alone. The world she remembers is gone, scoured away under the fury of balefire. In its place is a barren wasteland, where ponies fight to cling to life; where love has been trampled underhoof in the name of survival.

    And this lone changeling must head out into that loveless land, seeking a hive that may no longer exist.

If that wasn't bad enough, some 'lightbringer' went and took away all the clouds, disbanding what was left of the Enclave Government he'd once believed in. In order to survive, he's going to need a lot of courage, strength, and luck to get through the trials he'll face. Oh, and an odd assortment of friends might just help keep him alive along the way to finding a new place he can call home.

She earned the praise of the locals after becoming the accidental hero of the wastes around her home, but once the day is saved, being the hero is boring. She needs a new adventure.

    One day, a letter arrives, inviting her to join her brother in San Palomino on a search for their missing dad.

    She doesn't remember having a brother.

    It is, however, just what the doctor ordered. Now, if only this desert wasn't so damn hot...

While several others had some form of social experiment, Stable 13 was more focused on the inhabitants just surviving and living as happily as they possibly could with their families. All that changed however when the Stable was attacked, sending several survivors out into the hellish wastes once known as Equestria. We will follow the life of one such survivor; for his life is about to change once again: either for better, or worse.

But during her efforts to help her people, Nova comes across strange pre-war recordings and artifacts pointing to a hidden pre-war nation. And when a mysterious pony questions Nova’s virtue and beckons for her to discover what the writings portray, Nova and her closest friends find themselves cast into a war fought to secure a legacy left behind by a secret pre-war society. Nova’s quest leads her to test her heart against the unrelenting force of the wasteland, to discover the meaning of the word honor, and to seek out and unlock a concealed pre-war secret, revealing to Nova that she is a part of something greater than she could have ever imagined.

The book’s purpose was to guide the crystal ponies into an era of love and harmony, but left no mention of the other races. While those heathens have it rough, life isn’t easy for the chosen ponies either. As a young crystal pony embarks on a pilgrimage, the trials of the Crystal Wasteland will shed light on two questions. What does it mean to be a family; what is worth having faith in?

    When the war came to it's end, the destruction of Equestria was overwhelming. Entire cities were wiped off the map in but a flash, the once beautiful lands became poisoned and twisted. However, life still went on, only with a new war to fight. An unending war for survival against the wasteland itself took over. And war? War never changed.

    Amidst the worst hit during the apocalypse, the Islands of Marewaii were left as shadows of their former selves. Being the center port for Equestrias naval campaign, when the bombs flew, the Islands were a priority target for the Zebras. Megaspells of Balefire bombarded the big island, and the magical fallout that followed covered each of the others. The magical destruction was so great that the air itself became poisoned, a poison that persisted for over two hundred years.

    But like with the rest of Equestria, life continued to go in. Deep under the cities during the way, a vast metro system had been made. It was constructed both for transportation, and for emergency shelter in case the war ended in a balefire rain. Tens of thousands of ponies had fled underground, unsure if they would even survive the end of the world at all. Many closer to the surface didn't, but the ones that did went on to rebuild society in their new underground home.

    Over two hundred years later, our story picks up. A mirage pony mare named Vibraphone Echo, received a message about a job. This "search and rescue" job will pay a years worth of bits as payment. A simple job, one that gave her a bad feeling, but worth too many bits to pass up.

    They say that war never changes, but ponies do through the paths they chose to walk.

    Dragon Fire [Updated]

    Description: 5 years before the war ended, the Equestrian military commissioned a stable to be built entirely within the secluded Reyzar bay area on the zebra continent. Encircled by impassible mountains, this secluded territory had nothing but forests and the occasional wandering tribe until the Roamans seized the shores and built a port that was to be significant in the on going conflicts. With the assistance of Celestia's Special Forces this secret military bunker that would outlast Equestria itself was constructed.

    Centuries after the war concluded, zebras and ponies live a mixed life in the drab, military patrolled halls of Stable Z until the lights flicker. Aware that their existence is now threatened, the Council devises a simple scouting mission so as to not be caught unprepared if the worst was to happen. The surface however is not as expected.

Majina, who lost both her mother and brother, has little in the Hoof to care for her either, living day to day in the zebra refugee camps for the survivors of the horrible battle for the hoof. Both are left poking through the basement of Majina's mother's home in Chapel, where she collected a number of papers.

    It is in those papers that star cursed Starkatteri filly Pythia discovers an ominous letter written by the Caesar on the Day of Doom, his last order: 'Blind the Eye of the World'. Pythia knows the only way to learn what that means is to go there herself. She ropes in Scotch Tape and Majina (Because what are they going to do besides sulk and mope?) and makes arrangements to reach the land of Equestria's enemy. Along the way, the half dragon half pony filly Precious demands to come with them. And you don't say no to anything dragony.

    Together, they'll travel to a far away land that was also terribly savaged by the war, who's pain and suffering have yet to be known. Together, they'll find out what the zebra Caesar set into motion with his final command. And only together will they be able to save the Homelands.

    (Author's note: While helpful to read Horizons, most of the characters and events in Homelands do not require it. There may occasionally be references to Horizons and the original Fallout, but a new reader should be okay.

A Wastelander that had long since hardened himself to the horrors of the Wasteland, the ice in his heart threatens to melt as friends are made, loves are lost, and the Wasteland and Stars yield their most darkest of secrets.


    NOTE 1: Only the original Fallout: Equestria is considered canon officially. I will however do my level best to not cross over with other large fics such as Projects Horizon or Pink Eyes. While I will not mention such events in my story, I will do my best not to negate them so readers may consider whatever they wish to be canon from other works. (This is not set in stone, and if I am faced with a situation where I must disregard the interpretations of PH or PE to further my story, I shall without qualm or hesitation, but I do not think such a scenario is likely. I have planned this story out heavily, and do not believe any of it will conflict with such stories.)

    NOTE 2: Tome Tale is an Earth Pony in the Wasteland. Too many stories are unicorns from stables, or other things like that. I wanted to write this story different from other ones. Tome Tale grew up in the Wasteland, he has already become hardened. Too often we are faced with an innocent character fighting the corruption of the Wasteland both internally and externally, and such story lines are very well written and received, but they ARE overused. Tome Tale is not such a story. His is a story not of fighting corruption in himself, but of redemption that can never be found. A heart which is cold, becoming warm again, and a pony such as him, learning what it means to be alive.

    Stable 17 was built within the region of Transylvania in northwestern equestria, situated between the base of Smokey mountain and Vanhoover. The primary focus was to protect the native ponies who resided in the area. These ponies were commonly known as "Bat-Ponies" by the other races of Equestria, sporting fangs and leathery wings. Untouched by the horrors of balefire and holocaust, Transylvania still retained it's classical outlook of Equestria, albeit rundown from lack of maintenance. With it's economy driven mainly by the farming of it's residents, the town saw little to no action in the war, and was blissfully left out of the main attacks during the rain of balefire bombs that consumed Equestria.

    My name is Midnight Wind. I grew up within the confines of Stable 17 where I was certain I would live peacefully, and die peacefully. This was quickly proven wrong.

    When a crazy madmare within the stable fought for control over the Overmare's position, my best friend, Scarlet Rose, and I were forced to flee, finding ourselves out in the open world of the Equestrian wasteland. With no supplies, nor knowledge of the wasteland before us, we found refuge in a settlement located at the base of the Stable's structure, what was now called Smoked Out Mountain.

    Secrets tucked away within the forested overgrowth of Transylvania's lands began to slowly become ever present, every step that Scarlet and I took seemed to wake dormant beings.
