Man Donates Custom-Made MLP Coffin to 4-Year-Old Fan

The internet has been struck with another tragedy, but one man intends to help. Lilly Garcia was a 4-year-old girl who died on Tuesday in a road rage shooting in New Mexico. Trey Ganem, an artist in the Albuquerque area decided to create and donate a casket that he made towards the Garcia family. Lilly was a big fan of My Little Pony, which shows with Rainbow Dash emblazoned upon the top with other ponies on the inside.

Trey says that he wants the Garcia family to remember the good times that they had with her, and he hopes that the coffin will help. Our hearts go out to the entire Garcia family. I'm sure Lilly will be flying with Rainbow Dash up above. All of us as a fandom thank Trey for his donation. You can see the link to the video after the break.

Update Note: I want to make it very clear that Trey Ganem is not a part of the fandom. He is a freelance artist who fashioned the coffin due to Lilly's favorite show.

Discussion: Why Do You Love My Little Pony?

For years now, we have seen an endless swarm of people from the media ask this very question, and I'm probably not the only one that isn't always satisfied with the answer they eventually land on. The reasons we all watch this show are vast. Some think its the best written thing on the planet, some like the setting, and others just straight up fall in love with the characters. It's a mixed bag.

So, fandom of people sticking around for ponies five years after it's arrival, what keeps you here? What makes you watch this show every Saturday?

The UK apparently got a longer version of that Nightmare Moon comic we posted the other day. Much longer in this case, by 5 extra pages.

Really Neat Halloween Pony Cake

The Nightly Roundup has been pretty lacking in cake lately. I blame the decline in pony birthday parties. What gives guys? Why no pony celebration anymore?!

Luckily, we have this new cake for the best holiday. Vampires, Mummies, Skeletons, and Zombie Ponies included. I for one welcome more Flutterbats myself.

That is one of the coolest cover images for a song I've seen in forever. I think it was General Mumble way back in the day who used to impress me most with those. That needs to be a thing again.

Reminder: Banner Event - Halloween Portion - Closes Tonight!

A reminder for all of you artists out there! Today is the final day for submissions on the October portion of the EQD Holiday banner event. If you want a chance at the $70 Chrome Rainbow Dash Funko figure, get your submissions in before 11:59 PM PST tonight! 

Next round, the "Glitter Storm" Dash is available for Thanksgiving/November based banners. Also worth $70, though a bit more common with 500 being made as opposed to the limited 250 from the chrome version.

And for people entering the event with EQD mascots, Cadance and Spike will be randomed off at the very end.
