Artist Spotlight: Anarchemitis / Dilarus / Burning-Heart-Brony / Abydos91

Hello hello everyone! Now that the holidays are over I can get back into features like this. Today we've got a nice mix of new and old for you all as well as a couple vector artists which we don't see too often sadly! Find them all after the break.

As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-5 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to [email protected]. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.

What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:

• No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
• Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
• Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.

Daring Do Game Opens to Funding

Now this is a blast from the past for me! Back in 2012 the artist Alexmakovsky was working diligently on a Daring Do platformer game that managed to reach version 0.81 in its alpha stage, but was never finished. Now, two and a half years later with more experience under his wings he has returned to the game and has decided to remake it from scratch. As such he has opened up a Patreon to support its development as well as the development of more pony fan games and more!

Check out the old alpha and his Patreon below! Nice to see people from early in the fandom still going strong.

Discussion: Potential Third Monthly Ongoing MLP Comic Series

On December 27th, IDW MLP Editor Bobby Curnow tossed up that post onto the IDW My Little Pony forums. Normally, this would be something that would go up the night it's spotted to much joy in the land.

However, the post boils down to something is coming in April. What that something is, we're probably going to find out sometime during the middle of the month. In the meantime, we have an opportunity for discussion.

What do you think a third ongoing My Little Pony Comic would be like? More slice of life tales? Perhaps adventures to the far reaches of Equestria and beyond? Stories that explore the past? Celestia and Luna's Excellent Adventure? A series focusing on a cast of completely original characters?

What could it be? What would make you curious enough to pick up a third MLP Comic? Or do you think that it's a bid idea and would only serve to ruin the brand?

Cutie Mark Magic Brushables, Display Case, and More Hit Target, Single Ponies Appear in UK Toys R' Us

We don't often see these giant waves of merchandise from Hasbro's official lineup hit the stores, but if you find yourself over at Target and just can't resist picking up yet another variant on brushable Fluttershy, they got you covered.Even SUPER SUNSET SHIMMER has arrived.

We also got word that Sweetie Drops (aka superior fandom name Bonbon) was found at a Toys R' Us in the UK, so chances are some of those ponies without the accessories are leaking into retail locations from Amazon as well.

BronyCon Opens Bronypalooza, Mascot Actor Applications

Bronypalooza is once again seeking musicians for their giant BronyCon party taking place during the con.  Applications are now open to hop in for it if you find yourself interesting in showing off those skills.

Giant Lifesize Holiday TRIXIE Plushie Arrives

I feel like lifesize pony plushies are the future.  Joining Luna and Celestia, we have another gigantic plushie dedicated to the Greatest and Most Powerful Unicorn in all of Equestria.  She may have missed the holiday season by a week or two with her holiday cape and hat, but that doesn't make her any less superior to other cartoon plushie horses.

Who else needs life sizeification now? I'm thinking Sunset Shimmer.  She could use it. Totally.

Early Morning Discussion #84

You know, have you ever wondered how different our world's culture would be if we didn't have our moon? Usually we look at the sun and moon as opposites for different times of the day, but without our moon I wonder what we would use as a symbol instead?

Anyhow, Luna is super happy to have a moon to play with! And we all want our princesses happy, right?
