While the mares of our beloved show get a lot of love we can't forget the equally awesome stallions that have shown their muster throughout the show. Joining us in New York early next year is none other than Andrew Francis and Peter New! So come on down to New York to say hello (and to congratulate Shining Armor himself on the foal on the way of course)!
Check on after the break for the full details!
Ponycon is excited to reveal two more My Little Pony voice talents who are headed to NYC this February — ANDREW FRANCIS and PETER NEW!
This is both Peter's and Andrew's first time attending Ponycon, and we're delighted to host them. Both actors will be participating in panels and activities throughout the 3 day Valentine's Day / Presidents' Day weekend, and will be signing autographs. Vouchers for autograph and photo opportunities will be available for sale at the event. http://ponycon.nyc/register
Andrew and Peter will also be in attendance for Ponycon's Saturday night VIP party, and Sunday Celebrity Banquet where attendees will enjoy chatting and mingling with all our guests of honor!
Andrew Francis
As you probably know, Andrew Francis voices Twilight Sparkle’s valorous B.B.B.F.F, Shining Armor. Aside from the Guard Captain and royal Daddy-to-be on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Andrew has lent his voice to many more roles in our favorite animated series, such as Death Note, Voltron, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, and Johnny Test. Voice acting since the age of 9, Andrew has worked on over 20 different television programs including Dark Angel, Twilight Zone, Smallville and Kyle XY, and anime series such as: RoboCop: Alpha Commando, X-Men: Evolution, Johnny Test, Action Man, Dragon Booster, MegaMan NT Warrior, Monster Rancher, and Vision of Escaflowne. Andrew has also been in front of the cameras, appearing in the TV shows Flashpoint and Supernatural. In 2015 he received a Leo Award for Best Performance Voice - Animation Program or Series for his roles in the Max Steel episode, "Toxic Relationship".
Peter New
As an actor, voiceover actor and screenwriter, Peter New has 80+ professional credits including Fringe, Smallville, Mr. Young, Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Psych, Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon, Men In Trees and Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. He has voiced a score of animated characters, from ‘Sunil Nevla’ in Littlest Pet Shop, to ‘Ian Vashti’ in Mobile Suit Gundam 00, to ‘Lunk’ in Powerpuff Girls Z, and, of course, Big Macintosh and Doctor Whooves in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Other voice credits include InuYasha, Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War, Fantastic Four, Mega Man NT Warrior, Dino Train, Rekkit Rabbit, Martha Speaks and Need 4 Speed: Hot Pursuit. He received a 2002 Leo Award for Best Screenwriter (Music, Comedy, or Variety Program or Series), for episode #112 of the TV series Point Blank.
