Let's take this video to talk about the concept of love, how it applies to the episode "Slice of Life" as well as our own slices of life. It's a powerful thing that's essential to both give and receive in order to obtain happiness.
The stories of "Friendship is Magic" started out through Lauren Faust's love for a demographic she felt was neglected and as we all know, it eventually led to the chain reaction that we know as the brony fandom - a fandom which (though imperfect) continues to grow and spread these messages. Last Saturday, we saw the crew at DHX acknowledge this milestone by giving the fandom something inspired by its characters. By not just telling us a story about love, but reminding us that everyone is an individual that plays a part in our lives as well as theirs.
I hope this cycle continues for a long time.
