Tree Hugger apparently isn't dominating that poll over there, but that doesn't mean she doesn't need an entire event dedicated to her amazingness. Lets do some good for the world in her name! Introducing the Plant a Tree event for Tree Hugger!
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to plant anything. Trees can be a bit challenging for some people, so lets open it up a bit.
You can of course plant an actual tree, complete with all the digging and buying that goes into that. It will obviously look much cooler too!
But if that wont work for you, have some seeds laying around? Get some dirt, bury that thing, and get to watering it. This is a commitment right here. You need to make sure your little plant or tree thrives!
As for the pony part, grab your favorite pony toy and take a picture of them with your freshly buried seed or planted tree! Think Ponies Around the World, but more naturey. If you went the seed route, you can wait for something to sprout from it. This will be a month long event, so you should have some time.
Head on down below the break for the deadline, submission info, and rules!
What is the deadline?
Submissions will close on 15th of June at 1:00 AM PST! That is over a month! PLANT THINGS!
What is required?
- Any kind of camera
- a pony toy
- some dirt (or a pot with dirt)
- seeds or a sapling
- and some hard work.
- Take a picture of your pony figure with your plant
What are the rules?
- Stay safe. If you don't have any gardening experience, find someone who is experienced
- If you aren't able to make anything grow, an attempted growth spot is allowed. Try to get a picture of a newly sprouted plant though!
- It doesn't need to be out in the wild if you fear the forest! Grab a pot, toss some dirt in with your seed, and water!
Where do I submit?
We will be using our submission system. Simply click the "Plant a Tree for Tree Hugger" event and fill in the blanks with your entry. Each person gets two submissions this time around. If you need to use multiple images, collage them together. That works really well.
If you would like to film your creation and put it on Youtube, toss the link in the "Page URL" section. You will also need a direct image to go along with it though!
