Some more news out of Malaysia for our Asian Bronies out there! Recently The Friendship Express launched their website for their convention and they have an announcement to make about their venue. While the venue will be closing after the Chinese New Year for renovations the mall itself won't be closing until April, allowing the convention to squeak in at the end of March. Thank goodness they won't have to change locations so soon.

The Friendship Express, the Malaysian My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (MLP:FiM) convention scheduled to take place at the atrium of SSTwo Mall here in Petaling Jaya, Selangor on 2122 March 2015 will proceed as planned. This affirmation comes after official notice that SSTwo Mall will be ceasing operations after the Chinese New Year to make way for major renovation. Daniel Anthony, the chairman of the event stated that “A representative of the mall has contacted us on the matter and told us that the mall will only cease operations in April“, adding that the event will carry on as planned.
The Friendship Express was announced in December 2014 at a similar event in Singapore called The Cloudsdale Splash. The Friendship Express will be the first of its kind in Malaysia, bringing Bronies (young adult fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) from all over the nation together in the spirit of community and friendship.
The event will feature concerts, panels as well as artists who will be selling their works. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
