The Friendship Express is starting its call for boarding as they open their doors for performers to sign up for the event! Not only that, but they are looking for volunteers as well to help make this one awesome shindig in Malaysia.
Check on after the break to learn how to apply!
The Friendship Express, the Malaysian My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (MLP:FiM) convention that will be held on 21-22 March 2015 has now opened its doors to performers who are interested in performing at the event. Interested performers are encouraged to apply at the website at http://TheFriendshipExpress.org
Meelz, the Musical Director of The Friendship Express is looking forward to seeing what the local community has to offer, adding that “they do not have to be brony musicians, nor do they have to be bronies at all!”, based on the team’s effort to make the event “a brony convention for everyone.”
Aside from performances, The Friendship Express is also open to other stage applications for acts such as giveaways, keynotes and games in an effort called Harmony 6, named after the “Elements of Harmony” from the television series. “We want to make this event a community centric event, that is why we are giving them a chance to be a part of it like never before”, stated Daniel Anthony, chairman of the event.
The Friendship Express was announced in December 2014 at an art festival in Singapore called The Cloudsdale Splash. It will be the first event of its kind in Malaysia after a long chain of such “Pony Conventions” around the world. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. The closing date for performance applications is 6 February 2015.
